We believe, teach, and confess that Jesus is the Son of God who has purchased and won forgiveness of sins, life, and salvation by His precious blood shed for all mankind on the cross. God the Father sent His Son, Jesus Christ into the world for precisely this purpose. The Holy Spirit enlightens us and brings us to faith by the hearing of the Word as recorded in the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Scriptures. We believe that salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and by faith alone—not by works. We grow in faith through the hearing of the Word and the reception of the Sacraments.

Ephesians 2:8-9: For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith —and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.
We also believe, teach, and confess that the Bible is God’s own Word and truth and is without error.

2Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
2Peter 1:20-21: Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation. For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
